Wunnerful Dreams Poem by Keri Jopplin

Wunnerful Dreams

As a 'lil girl & young woman, Yes I have dreamed,
Of my knight, my armore`, my unreachable king;
So real I could touch you, so very real it seemed,
Unknown to my heart but so loved in my dream.

Alone at my will my wunnerful dreams I still seek,
Into the depths of my soul searching, as tears taste my cheek.
Much older not wiser, my dream has all but disappeared,
My eyes wide open, shut as they see what they fear.

Chilling days upon me, chasing snowy fantasies unreal,
Still just a girl dreaming, crying upon window sill.
