Ww1 Poem by samantha cassidy

Ww1

ww1

the mother country:
our country
your country

they are:
emotional
happy
brave
excited

there families are:
glad
proud
some terrified
or scared

they are there:
fighting
helping
sad
emotional
hungry
tired
reek of the bad smell

they come back:
deaf
injured
sick
tired
dead
alive
emotional but not showing it
quiet
lonely
scared.

A war is a harrowing experience, specially the two world wars. Nicely expressed.
