X'mas Fervor 2015 - The Birth Of Jesus Christ Poem by Dr John Celes

X'mas Fervor 2015 - The Birth Of Jesus Christ

This winter, colder than all previous years
Reminds us of Christ's birth, as Christmas nears;
In Bethlehem's inn, in a manger small,
As angels sang the Good News to men all.

The love of God to mankind, flesh became;
The Son of God was ‘Emmanuel' by name;
The Virgin Mary brought Him forth with joy -
The Holy Spirit's miraculous a boy!

He fully was a man and fully God;
His Father sent Him to remove man's rod;
All sinners gained forgiveness for all sin;
It was the Savior Jesus Christ's big win.

The gate of heaven opened to all men;
A heart of repentance could gain heaven;
The plan of God had trounced the Evil One;
Hell's fiery Pit could not deter God's Son.

Christ brought with Him both joy and peace to earth;
He was the King of kings and Lord by birth;
Death on the cross, blood-shed awaited Him;
His life was short and end-days truly grim.

But He would resurrect upon third day;
He proved that He was man and God this way;
The human race has hope in this one king;
‘Gloria in Excelsis Deo' we sing!

O God, we thank You for this wonder child;
About His coming, John cried in the wild;
He was the Lamb of God, sinless and pure;
His body-blood is food for soul, sin's cure.
‘Merry X'mas,2015 to all on earth! '
