Yearning Poem by Hillfigure Sackey

Yearning

Yearning to love to love I yearn all year around
T’was has been a year since I yearned to return your love
But had my heart beat to the drums of yours what then?
Would we walk merrily perhaps within the stage in which this affair begun.
Would our hearts race heavenward building as it reached Mars doors, looking with anew eyes upon Venus only to plummet back to earth burning us both?
As only a paragraph Eros allocated to this chapter in my life, I am forced to answer such musings. My yearning, a yearning to find love has indeed cost the friend I love.
