A little touch of colour
More delicate than a spider's web
That hangs arrayed with dew.
Apon the orchard gate,
Frail bloom, that with its colours burn
Announces spring has just returned.
Birds chorus it in every tree,
leaves busily unfolding
Every minute thier progress
Into summer moulding.
I saw with surprise
Daffodils bouncing in the wind
I lingered on their beauty
With delight I couldn't hide
A mysterious thing
The return of spring.
You capture the delicate beauty that is spring. Lovely images a very beautiful poem to read. Thank you Daphne.
I love this Daphne. There is so much color, happiness in every line, and the depiction of spring as it should be. Thank you for sharing, Daphne, I enjoyed reading this. Love & hugs, Barbara
