Yes, We All Must Know Poem by Mohammad Younus

Yes, We All Must Know

Yes, we all must know
this bitter reality:
there is no turning back
on life's road.
No, I'm not going back
down that old road.
The old road will remain
just that—
an empty path.

I won't have my arm twisted,
forced to turn around
and look back
at the distance covered.

If you are to be steadfast,
never visit
the abandoned house
where ghosts—
old memories—reside.

Do no good
by awakening these dead ghosts;
stop trying to rewind the clock.
Keep moving forward
with positivity—no stopping.
