Yes You, Who Broke My Heart And Silenced My Muse

To demolish one's dreams is an unforgivable crime
Like severing the chord of an unborn before it's time.
When one has but a colourful fruitful fantasy
Why remove it and let it sink into a distant memory.

Six years of writing rubbed out with a single word
Is to break the wings of a migrating bird.
What can you gain from such a cold heartless act
I will never know. And as you cannot retract

Words that have reached their target and drew doubt
Let us now end this eternally despairing drought
That we once blindly called love. Stripped I leave
Bare and exposed with a heart hanging from its sleeve.

So under nights blanket I lay with frayed thoughts
Plauged by an undetectable sickness that never halts.
From head to heart and rushing back again.
The sky is black with sympathy and together we rain.

Pouring ourselves onto the wicked world below
Falling upon streets and sheets, we bellow
Into a bleakness that echoes for eternity
Shattering souls and destroying our fantasies.

Oh dear Vincent! So that is what silences the muse is it? Love breaking the heart. I can say it didn't break my muse, infact it created it, but that is the opposite end of this eternal scale. I would rather never have written a single poem. Beautiful work from a beautiful heart, which will be resurrected I am sure. Smiling at you, Tai
