Yesterday Poem by Martine Kolber

Yesterday

Yesterday I walked through the park
Where you and I played games so long
Ago in the whispers of the wind that
Passes my ears I can hear you singing
And I still smell that old perfume that
You never stopped using, though nobody
Liked it but you and I know you did so
Because everything you ever did was
Living your life the way you felt you should
So that the trees and everything surrounding
Became a part of your world in glimmering
Lights unified to be a whole new sight
To those who stand long and know the
Breath of this life is not eternal
