With each new days dawning
The creation of a new memory
Would burst in on the rays of the sun
But now, each morning comes in dread
Trying to keep you from being that awakening thought
Trying to forget your existence…
The way you have forgotten mine
And the day moves on-
As the sun, reaching it's peak in afternoon skies would hang
The light would shine upon me
Covering me in the brilliance of what I thought was love
But now, as the sun itself fiercely erupts
I feel nothing but the cold emptiness you left behind
And the day moves on-
The falling dusk at each days close
Brought hopes of a starlit night, and the reoccurrence of you
But now, evening comes as a foreboding shadow
Covering the day
Darkening what's left of a fragmented soul
In each days passing it has become clear
Never with each rising of the sun
Nor with every unveiling of the moon
There was not any day that you loved in its entirety
There was not any day where there was truly love.
