Yesterday Was Better. Poem by Geetanjali Saini

Yesterday Was Better.

She looked at the moon.
As if it spoke.
Silently of her emptiness.
She smiled.
And cried.
The signals on the street,
Red yellow and green,
All were the same.
She lost the sight of right or wrong.
She was numb.
And this wasn't the first time.
Her soul toppled and turned,
In her body a hundred times.
A hundred times she felt incomplete.
Like her story ended.
But she was alive.
She drove on an endless road.
Off to a journey unknown.
She loved her state.
She loved being lost.
And she loved saying,
This over and over again,
Yesterday was better,
When she was in love.
In her thoughts,
She lived there,
Forever.
