Yesterdays - Poem by Glenn Grabbe
In my soul, there are places,
Where I see many faces,
Of people who came and went,
A brief encounter that now is spent.
Memories kept them for a while,
The good times that made us smile,
And funny things that were said,
Echos laughter in my head.
The sights, the sounds the familiar places,
The lights, the action, the friendly faces,
Our childhood sweets, our love's first kiss,
Ahh, the days that I miss.
What a blessing memories are,
That keeps those close who are far,
And though our time has long since past,
What's left of love will last, and last.
