You... - Poem by Jeanette Vanity
It’s finally there.
The knife in my back you took so long to use,
Finally served it’s purpose.
I laugh at this,
At your betrayal to me.
So I guess this whole friendship thing was a lie
No, not friendship.
I guess it’s...
Well no word seems to fit on what this was.
What would you call it?
Pity? No, me neither.
It seems too obvious I would say
Well I guess it can just be called fake.
Because that’s what it was, right?
One question fills my mind though
Why did you wait so long?
Why would you have me believe the lies you told me?
For this long.
Why would you do this in the first place?
Was it because you felt sorry for me?
Well I guess this can’t be you’re fault.
At least not all of it.
I was the one who fell for it.
This lie you set up.
I should’ve seen right though this little game
But sadly, I didn’t.
But hey, you live an learn right?
Now I can see the world more clearly.
I can tell who is real
And who is fake.
Who will actually be there for me
And those who we’re just pretending.
I can see who is different
And who is just like you.
So I guess I can say...
No really, thanks
Bet you weren’t expecting that right?
A different reaction filled your mind
When you planned this whole thing.
Funny how things don’t turn out the way you planned.
Funny how things just blow up in peoples faces.
It’s quite hilarious actually, right?
Well I find it funny.
But maybe that’s just my sick humor talking.
Man, I feel almost...
Yeah I said it
Free free free!
It feels good too.
Like a weight has finally been lifted from my shoulders.
To be honest I feel a bit happier now
No really I do!
Finally can see through peoples lies
Finally not take anything from people
Becoming more independent.
Now that I think about it,
This was actually a positive outcome!
Haha, again, thank you
You must be shocked huh?
Yeah I would imagine
Thinking I would see this as a horrible thing,
Think I won’t fit in, just like you thought.
Well I don’t
Sorry to disappoint you.
Another question seemed to have popped into my head...
Would you like this knife back?
So you can hurt the other people you will fool?
