You Poem by J.B. LeBuert

You

I see your body there all glistening.
I hear your thoughts and I'm listening.
I knew that you were coming to me;
Now you're here, to set me free.

I know the next move that you'll make,
And I wonder how you came to be awake.
I pray that you came to give and not to take;
That must be true, for your own sake.

Render me assistance right now,
And I'll lift you up somehow.
I'll bring the gifts that you need;
You may never again have to plead.

Rise up, stand tall, the eagle is here.
Climb on, hang on, let go of the fear.
Let's see that smile, wipe away that tear.
No more grief, only good cheer.

I see your body there all glistening.
I hear your thoughts and I'm listening.
You're here now trying to succeed.
I hope it's not on account of greed.

You can rise to great heights.
You can see all the great sights.
Cherish all your days and nights.
You, it's time to claim your rights.
