You Poem by Thomas Glover

You

You
are the clink
of teeth
on glass,
an ocean
within a seashell,
last lights,
new beginnings,
starting old
to die young.

You
are the sedated
mist of morning
screaming
at my headlights,
the alleyways
I brush past
after work,
forgotten talent
waiting in the
attic of my
melancholy,
begging
for my hollow
eyes to avert from

you.
