You. Poem by Ann McKinley

You.

This hate that pulses through my veins
Is caused by the extreme amount of pain you left behind
Is the horrified look in your daughters eyes
This disgust that runs through me
Is from you betraying me
The love you said you had for me
The lies you spit at me.
This resistment thats consuming me
Is from you making me feel guilty
When there was no reason for me to be
Cause you were the one playing me for a fool.
Cause you sir, have a very dark soul.
The words love and loyality
Apparently are not in your vocabulary
The things you left in me
The things I think and the things I feel
arent friendly.
Your a joke.
You left my heart broke.
Because of you.
I dont want to feel.
I dont want to take the chance of falling in love once more.
Im better off without you.

You.
