Mom Poem by Ann McKinley

Mom

Rating: 5.0

I wanted to say thank you.
For all the things you have helped me through.
It took a lot of courage Im sure,
To get me off of stupid
I know I am not easy to live with
And my moods always switch
But I applaud you for helping me fix this messed up kid
(me)
your strength everyday astounds me
And I live by advice you give me
Your support is much needed
and I just wanted to let you know
I am appreciative
For providing us with food, cloths, shelter
and a functional family
for my daughter to remember
I know I didn't come from your womb
But this is the truth
I will always be your daughter
And you my mother
I love you mom.

Before we moved in with her, my lifestyle and my living environment were inappropriate I was an alcoholic but since, I have been solber. In school and trying to be the best mother I can be. With out there help. I would not be able to do this on my own.

Mom's duty is always appreciative. She stands near, helps and blesses at all time. Very fine poem drafted and shared. Nice composition.
