You Poem by Mari Mertens

You

You?
Numb is now unattainable.

If choice was solely mine, I'd be gone deciphering secrets.

Red will always be subjective but the colour doesn't belong to only you.

Your colour is visible to me alone.
Others don't have the lenses to protect their sensitive eyes.

Blue is what I chose for you, it was a simple choice.

It seems crazy to all and you, but answer me this, would you choose a daisy when vanilla would never tempt you?
