You Poem by Nick Downer

You

Do you realize
The way you make me feel,
When you walk in the room?
How all you have to do,
Is smile for a second,
And I’m in Heaven.
When I hear my name,
On your lips,
It feels like I’m hearing it,
For the very first time.
A simple hug,
Though born of innocence,
Becomes alive the moment,
That your skin,
Meets mine.
I live for the moments,
That are filled up,
With you.
And when I’m in solitude,
There are really two,
Because the memory,
I keep of you,
Is always there.
