You And Me Poem by Mac Diez

You And Me

Rating: 5.0

I only have eyes for you
In my sleep all I can see is you
The rarest flower,
Always sweet, never sour,
An emerald among rocks,
With a touch that gives me a shock
With eyes prettier than sapphires,
You ignite in me a passionate fire.

You will be on my mind
When my story closes
As well as memories of how you are kind,
Among poisonous flowers, a beautiful rose
You don't know what you do to me
One glimpse of your light brown hair,
Now it's all I can see,
So I just stare.

You've always shown unwavering affection
To me you are far more than perfection
You being my first selection
Has more to it than your fair complexion
Without you, my life would fall apart at the seams
You are always the star of my dreams
In dreams where I'm lost in a land so barren,
You are my only siren.

You star on the page of my life
I don't wanna turn
If anything took you from me,
A passionate rage in me would burn
You are the perfect blend
Of beauty and personality
For whomever may get to hold you close,
I couldn't have greater envy.

I love to see your pretty smile,
Which helps my conflicting thoughts reconcile
I've always appreciated your constantly positive attitude,
And of my love for you, no one could comprehend the magnitude
Though I've always understood true love,
I was afraid of actually feeling it,
because i know shyness doesn't attract love
so when you took my breath away, I didn't like it.

Then we met,
And I had just one regret:
I should have met you sooner,
I should not have put it off until later
At first I didn't believe,
But you showed me that I was right
Now I have no doubt
That it was love at first sight.

For you, I would go through the fire,
And give all that your heart desires,
Your love being all I desire
Of your voice, I'll never tire
I just want to say
I love you,
And I just want you to see
That all I think of is you and me.
