You And Me/Yours Or Mine Poem by Ben Reynolds

You And Me/Yours Or Mine

On the run,
or gone into hiding.
Yet still unable,
to keep it inside him.
I do not beg for mercy,
Universal truth goes unheard.
A privileged courtesy,
Death has become absurd.
Anchored to your seat in space,
fast paced, unforgivable race,
simple as it sounds,
put one down, get one crowned.
When the world came together,
first formed from disaster.
Nothing begins, to last forever,
eternity, has no master.
The light of life and love from above,
Strengthens mind and body,
like nobody else could.
Reflect light from inside out,
light like the Sun,
what's that all about?
When given the nod,
why put down your fishing rod?
Too throw out some bait,
because when the fish are fed,
they are what they hate,
salt and vinegar, chips and bread.
Trust in me, i trust you too
my life, given to you,
for good, of course.
Message received, sounds of rounds of applause!
