You And Your Lies Poem by jess schwarcz

You And Your Lies

Rating: 5.0

All I want to know is why?
Why to all of those lies you deny?
You stood me up and led me on,
And “Sorry God” is your reply?

I actually believed you,
You said you understood and knew,
The feeling of being blue.
I waited for you in the pourin’ rain,
The truth lives on, you've got no shame.

I came to that dance,
I gave you a second chance.
You said that I was amazing.
But that was your jacka*s lying.

I wanna know how you feel.
Was anything you said even real?
I wanna know why you did it,
Why you did it to me,
If you’re happy.

It’s your reputation you care about,
It’s the truth you’re afraid to let out.
But you aren’t going to get off that easy,
This won’t end ‘til you’re truly sorry.

So you say you’re religious,
To the bible you’re a perfectionist.
I think about you every day,
Thinking, “Dam*, what would God say? ”

All I want to know is why,
Why to all of those lies you deny?
I wanna know how you feel,
Was anything you said even real?
I wanna know why you did it,
Why you did it to me,
If you’re happy.

You and your lies...
You and your lies...
You and your lies...
