You Are Here Poem by Margaret Shaw

You Are Here

I've been missing something here,
Needing someone near me,
Why can't I see it's real,
I know I'm missing something here,
Wanting someone with me,
And now I know you're here.

I look in your eyes,
And I see the skies,
I'm soaring there with you,
With every passing day,
I see it's a brighter way,
And I know that it is true.

I've been missing something here,
Needing someone near me,
Why can't I see it's real.
I know I'm missing something here,
Wanting someone with me,
And now I know you're here.

I'm wrapped in your arms,
And I feel the warmth,
You show me every day,
To me it feels so right,
When you hold me with all your might,
I see love has come my way.

I've been missing something here,
Needing someone near me,
Why can't I see it's real,
I know I'm missing something here,
Wanting someone with me,
And now I know...

I was missing something here,
Needing someone near me,
Now I can see it's real,
I knew I was missing something here,
Wanting someone with me,
You were always here,
I should've known you were here,
I give you my heart right here.
