You Are Me Poem by Satish Verma

You Are Me

No I will not do it,
to stitch the wounds, to remember you.
Your slant eyes are always watching me.

I will break to say
goodbye. My blanket walks with me
to save from shivering. I stand in water.

Lips always betray.
Tears are caged. After leaving
home, who comes back? I bend.
