You Are The Reason I Came Back To Life Poem by Tom Simon

You Are The Reason I Came Back To Life

Nightfall, alone and adrift, standing at the edge,
The final solution in one hand, a glass of wine in the other.

Contents of both disappear as I step into the darkness.

The history of life passes by as I fall deeper into the abyss,
Images long ago forgotten are seen as the journey to eternity continues.

But then, crystal clear, a face, a voice appears, stopping the
Fall, and I feel the guardian angels lifting me up, lifting me
To the far light.

The brightness increases as I rise, until the whiteness of life.

It was you. You are the reason I came back to life, you
Gave me the strength to return.

One can never forget, you are the reason I chose the light, for
You are the reason eternal love endures.
