You Are To Me...
You are to me...
A warm breath—
Fountain of my life,
Radiant cool light,
Daily music,
Adored and echoing voice,
The best music, I hear.
An unforgettable, eternal perfect song—
Notes I find myself humming,
A guitar without strings I play
Joyfully, curiously, lovingly,
Tenderly, peacefully, at all times—
Immersed in my divinity,
Always,
And ever enough.
A favorite god-made mosaic quilt,
Soft when I am in the cool
Hermitage of my true being,
Able to cover when I am cold,
Bold to reveal my true essence.
A beauty I cannot name,
A strength I could not replicate,
A strong wind I could not hold—
Beyond and here,
Unknowable and intimately seen,
Priceless and tightly held.
You are to me...
Because I have learned to be.
Years I have spent learning
To love you and be loved by you.
How happy it is
That I have found you
In this vast, foolish world
And can remind myself
Of the covenant
That you took from me,
Never to forget
That I have my origin in you.
