You Ask Of Me Poem by Kevin Hulme

You Ask Of Me

Since you ask of me for you doubt my Heart,
Do thoughts of you colour my waking day;
There is nought I see that you're not a part
For you engrain this life in every way.
When passing shadows of pale Clouds sweep by,
They lighten or shade like your changing moods;
The Sun on the fields where Lavender lie
Do render your Heart by Summery noons.
And within the lines of passionate poems,
The aesthetic dreams penned by gifted hands;
They tell of kindness and the Girl I've Known
With an ardent nature that Love demands.
You ask of me is my Heart ever true?
In life's many hues I see only you.
