You Asked, And So You Recieved Poem by Katherine Bryce

You Asked, And So You Recieved

How can you stand there,
and say they'd regret it,
regret the love they had lost,
when you're doing the same.
You lost me,
not once but twice,
and yet you acted,
like you didn't care.
You walked away,
without a second look,
my heart- it broke,
that same second.
When you see me,
you pretend you don't,
you walk on by,
as if I'm invisible.
but I know when you're lying,
when you're hiding inside,
and this is that time,
lying to; others, myself and to you.
It's all a lie,
I know that look in your eyes,
I know when you're,
hurting because of me.
But this isn't,
my pain to take,
you asked to leave,
so I let you-.
I'm sorry but I won't,
hold to someone with desire to go,
I want you to be happy,
but I know you're not.
I know that leaving,
hurt you as much as me,
but you asked,
and so you recieved.
