You Belong With Me Poem by Sylvia Alva

You Belong With Me

When I see your face
It takes me to a dif erent place
Calmness takes a hold of me
Like a blanket that cannot be seen
That smile
Those eyes
have got me hypnotized
The simple thought of you
Has me mesmerized
Feelings of disbelief
When you smile and look at me
Unbelievable, you chose me?
Emotions of relief
Seem to overcome me
I smile I sigh
Can't help but fantasize
If only you knew
What I want so bad to tell you
Do I dare make this reality?
Or keep dreaming Of what life with you could be?
"Endless love with no regrets"
That's exactly what I meant to say
Thoughts of you
Invade my mind In time i know
You'll soon be mine
I'll welcome you With opened arms
I will not allow your heart to hurt
Or endure pain or cruelty
Your eyes will never shed a tear
