You Can Still Shine Poem by Emmanuel Odei Oduro

You Can Still Shine

You can still shine
You can still sparkle
Don't be deterred by your family
Education, age, or any other scary signs
As our God has a gift for greatness
Determinedly and deeply embedded in us
To glorify His holy name and us bless
During our earthly existence

You can still shine
You still have dreams to fulfill
Dreams dearly planted in you by God
Dreams He has aptly armed you with
To perform as your part in His project
And demonstrate you are not mediocre
That you are made for greater works
By the Most High God

You can definitely still shine
By pursuing your God ordained dreams
Just dig deep into yourself
To uncover and activate that genius in you
Producing that writer, artist or pastor
That has hitherto been a pipe dream
Totally transforming you from a nonentity
To a channel of blessing to people
And a vessel to manifest God's power

You can still shine
To bless yourself, God's people
More importantly, God greatly glorified
Partnering in God's mission on earth
Making you the true son of your creator
Playing the creator's assigned role
