You Cannot Be More Wise. Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

You Cannot Be More Wise.

You cannot be more wise.

now you must lie in the manger of the Muse.

The snow will not fall but crystals of
thought.

For thought has fallen in love with verse and
song.

Civilization looked from a bastion high and
smiled.
