As water condenses and gives up being free
So too I give up my wayward ways for thee
No more am I vapor that with the wind goes
By merit of thy love I gladly transpose
To snugly fit into my ascertained boundaries
Where of lonesomeness I hold no worries.
Thou keepest me in heat, thou keepest me in cold,
No weakness gives presence within thy mold
Exclaiming that our maker must have had in mind
Thee for me – me for thee; better fit we cannot find
In the limits of time, or the bounties of eternity,
In the foundation of the earth, in the waves of the sea.
By this flow let our love stay written in stone,
And may it never fade lest we need to atone.
