You Do Not Have To Ask Him Poem by Francis Duggan

You Do Not Have To Ask Him

You do not have to ask him since to you he will tell
How in life for himself he is doing very well
In the running for local braggart of the year
Of his recent successes he wants all to hear
In self promotion he is doing quite okay
For about himself he does have plenty to say
To be the town's top braggart he gives it his best try
To boast of self one of those who is not shy
It would not be unfair to say of him that he is not wise
How boring he is he does not seem to realize
But I only tell you what to all is well known
That in boasting of self he is not on his own
The praises of self he sure does love to sing
But such is becoming a fashionable thing.
