You Had Woken Me Poem by Mohammad Younus

You Had Woken Me

You had woken me,
tightened your grip
on my thoughts.
You sought me
to connect to you,
through the infinite,
stretching thread of Hu,
that mysterious sound.

All night, you remained
bound to me,
echoing your eternal call—Hu.

I will not bid your calling
goodbye, or good night,
for you will not leave me,
you will not cease to call.

I refuse to go;
you too refuse to go.
When will we meet,
to undo the duality?
