If you could only see,
See that it was you,
You who set me free,
Free from everything,
Everything including,
My own thoughts,
My own questions,
But most of all my insecurities,
I would want,
Want you to know,
That I am very glad,
Very glad to have met you,
I am very glad to have let,
Let you in,
Even though I didn’t,
Didn’t know that you would set me free.
Had I never met you,
Would things be different?
Would things have stayed the same?
Would I have made this change?
This change,
This change that that finally lead,
Lead to,
The changes in my attitude?
The changes in my life?
This life that I now lead,
Makes me happy,
It makes me happy to know,
To know that you set me free.
I finally realize,
Realize that you are all,
All I really needed,
To be set free,
And for that I thank you,
I thank you for being there,
I thank you,
Most of all,
For setting me free.
