You Left Me In The Dark Poem by Hailey Agnew

You Left Me In The Dark

you left me there,
in the dark.
you left me there,
bruised and marked.

broken and frail,
i lay across the rock.
so fragile i am,
you ran for the dock.

you left me here,
in the dark.
you ran away,
you mindless shark.

you used me,
abused me,
hurt me,
cursed me.

now what am i good for?
my whole life i've survived,
when i was alone i cried.
i trusted you,
and for that i will die.

you left me here,
in this desolate place.
so cold and hard,
lying on my face.

i can feel my mind,
slipping away.
with each moment that comes,
i regret that day.

the day i met you,
the day my life began and ended in so many ways.

but now,
i will not cry,
i will not sit,
and wait to die.

not for you,
my so called love.
i've already given you,
much too much.

now i fight,
so that i might live,
live to see,
your face again.

and when i see,
your sorry face,
i will only view it,
will disgrace.

i will hurt you,
and have my revenge,
so that i might love,
once again.
