You'Ll Love This Thing Called... Poem by A. P. Hancock

You'Ll Love This Thing Called...

Come think with me a little while, about this thing within
I'll tell you of the where and how, the why, the what, and when

It's where the truly brave hearts trod, you'll think you're not prepared
It's where our tears and smiles are mixed, and feelings never spared

The how is quite a funny thing, it's not the same for all
You decide the how for you, that's how as I recall

The why is like the mirror thing, most never understand
You should for you if no one else, your future's in your hands

The what is known most best by you, let conscience be your guide
Pick two or three or more if need, and work on those with pride

The when is also up to you, start now or wait a while
But just remember this one thing, the hands upon the dial

That's the where, the how, the rest, I know these words sound strange
But once you choose to take that step, you'll love this thing called change
