You'Ll Never Be Poem by Kristy Artmann

You'Ll Never Be

Rating: 5.0

You’ll never be the honest, strong-minded, family man I need you to be;
Even after your promises, you lied, cheated, and broke my heart and smiled proudly with glee.
You’ll never be the charming man that makes me laugh on the inside and outwardly too;
I’ll never again allow your touch and your sly words turn my heart into decay, I’ll shield it from your view.
You’ll never be the one to make me smile;
You’re much too busy to sit down, chill, and talk for a while.
You’ll never again seep inside my head and disrupt my soul;
For me, therapy, family, and friends are always here to console.
You’ll never be who you said you would be to me;
And I will never again be left heartbroken; I’ll save myself for the one that sees my inner beauty.
