You Love Me Poem by Kyla Potts

You Love Me

Rating: 4.5

Even though I am a lame person,
you loved me anyway
Through all the pain in my eyes,
the anger in yours
and the tears that made oceans beneath our feet
You love me...
and I love you
Though people judged us, said it wouldn't last
We proved them
WRONG
Because we've lasted a year.
Even though you've been rejected
and I've been neglected...
You love me...
and I love you
We scream and fight but we'll never give up
I see the beauty that no one else can recognize
And you see the same in me
Though we've both been in bad positions
You love me...
and I love
YOU<3

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Love is a spiritual experience that affects those that are lucky to experience it mutually profoundly. It lingers in the mind long even after the source of stimulation is gone. We don't find love, love finds us, that why it's called falling in love. I like the articulation of the poem as it captured conviction of the poet. Thanks for sharing.
