you may imagine
me as a flower having
fully bloomed
after the rainy day

as i may also try
imagining you as
a butterfly borne
out of the summer
sun

we can imagine
both ourselves
touching with
complete anticipation
desire to desire
we can be happier
still if
we only try
to be something
or some other else

but really
we can still be happier
by simply be
our real selves
touchable
palpitating despite
the pain
