'You' & 'me' Poem by Somendra Gaur

'You' & 'me'

Just climbing the mountains,
To ignore the fountains,
Fountain of tears,
Fountain of my fears,
Embracing all those aches and tears,
They are a part of me and this journey,
They shouldn't feel alone,
Because I do,
Without 'you'.
I ran out of it,
As a dead man would run out of his coffin,
I escaped,
I eloped,
I abondoned,
I absconded,

I ran back and again ran away,
My confidence thrashed every time,
My 'right' turned 'wrong',
I again ran,
Eloped,
Absconded,
Abandoned,
In front of the mirror 'you' stood,
Facing the 'me' in the mirror,
The 'me' I was running from,
But I couldn't embrace it,
So I walked away,
I didn't ran,
I walked,
To collect the guts to embrace the 'me'.
