You Might Be Good Poem by Gary James Smith

You Might Be Good

You Might Be Good

You might be good but never good enough
To earn your way to heaven
For there is none good...none but God
Of all the men that are living
Sin has rendered us hopeless
To obtain the worth of God's glory
Christ praise God has offered us hope
This is Salvation's story

He the all innocent One
Suffered a death of agony
But O the life He's prepared for us
Through Resurrection's victory
Now unclouded are my days
The fear of death behind me
And His Word a sure testimony
Is always there to remind me

No works of mine can justify
My standing in this place
It was only simply by repentance and faith
Through God's amazing grace
Don't miss out on the opportunity
To be placed in a mansion above
Recognize yourself as a sinner
And accept the Saviour's love!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
