You Missed Your Glimpse
You missed your glimpse
Of a falling star.
Sometimes they have to
Fall back to this earth
Without a single wish
Placed upon them.
Hurtling in solitude-
The only solace is
Burning into nothing
Before they smash
Into this hard, hard earth.
