Please forgive me-
I have eaten
The apple which
Hangs upon
Your tree.
It looked so
Warm, and
Delicious-
Did you place
It there just
To tempt me?
It’s crimson glow
Was irresistible,
You of all things
Should understand-
Please, do not
Send me away.
