You'Re Gone Poem by paula reger

You'Re Gone

Rating: 0.5

you're Gone

Waking up
With the sun
Realizing you’re really gone
All alone again

Made a list
Of things to do
Have to write it all down
My thoughts running astray
Wish you would have stayed

You’re gone now
You’re history
You’re not even missing me

I need to be strong
And carry on
But I want to run
And hide away

Things broken
I don’t know how to fix them
Some hurt, will never heal
The main reasons to how I feel

Been through this before
Know it all too well
Thought I would learn by now
Thought I would know how

You’re gone now
You’re history
You’re not even missing me

I need to be strong
And carry on
But I want to run
And hide away

Thought about it all
For so long now
Trying to figure out
A way to get you back

But what’s the point
In doing that
When you don’t even
Believe in me

You’re gone now
You’re history
You’re not even missing me

I need to be strong
And carry on
But I want to run
And hide away

I was gone but not out. I reached out and the 3,000 mile monster pushed me aside.
