You Remind Me Poem by melissa fox

You Remind Me

You remind me of everything I hate
I cant begin to believe, anticipate
How much I dont believe it's true
but everything you say or do
Crumples everything I thought I knew
Love wasn't what you had in mind
When you said you knew I'ld find
The darkest part of your soul
The blackest heart like a coal
I cant believe I trusted beauty
When you thought hate was your duty
To lead the arms of hate
lock me in this eternal crate
to testify to the dead
as I cried, as I bled
I will no longer be apart of you
