You Should Have Stayed In The Past! Poem by Louis Coetsee

You Should Have Stayed In The Past!

I woke again from a dream of you
A princess, young dressed in blue
Your Beauty an manners so pure
O how I remember you my sweet
To hold you again, our lips would meet

I searched near and far,
Under every rock behind every star
After all these years to hold you again
To release this Hunger, lust and pain!
Then I found you m there you are.

We spoke of our lives, the past lost
We spoke of lessons at a high cost
I found out the real you at last
What you was and what you became!
Actually you were always the same
In disappointment and in shame.
I came to the conclusion, fast.
you should have stayed in my dream
You should have stayed in the past
