Sometimes feelings felt are not shared
Other times, feelings shared are not felt
Either way, one heart is left feeling broken
Because of words that didn't reach their mark,
were not felt, or remain somehow unspoken
But tears must be cried for what was felt inside
From ourselves, the truth is never easy to hide
And this is the price we pay for our heart's open wide
Our fate, our love, hanging there for another to decide
But this is something to take away, as a matter of pride
Don't let your head hang down low for what you did confide
At the heart of the matter, when push came to shove.....You Tried!
