You've Got A Friend Poem by Brian Kwak

You've Got A Friend

Rating: 5.0

Looking back,
all I remember

is the camaraderie,
which I now miss.

Opportunities lost,
the regrets of the living dead.

Shambolic life of a student without purpose
Threnody for lost camaraderie

and brotherhood

Conversations that end with
disjointed identities of myself

Agnosy of civilians which lead to
Misunderstandings
between the two groups

Mercurial temperament

from concussions leading to isolation
Anhedonia from the depressive
episodes

Rapture from reliving old memories
in class
Abusion of the truth
leading to further

misunderstanding

while
Disjointed identities merging
giving clarity
to my
Epinosic life
of isolation

Rummage through life,
to find purpose and meaning
Isolation felt from the lost

Camaraderie

Elation from regaining that which was lost

camaraderie
