You Were Framed Poem by Black Consciousness Poetry BCP

You Were Framed

Yes, you were definitely framed
So that Adam and company could have all the fame
You found yourselves unwilling participants in this game
Where for each and every wrong you get the blame

Well, I support I'm not going to change that, however I can
Do all in my power to give you what's yours, taken by man
See, you're greater than how the world paints you, making you seem like outlaw
Judgemental is what they are, pointing fingers and ignoring their own flaws
I hope with this little effort of recognition from me, you'll forgive and let go of the pain
In doing so, may you find the freedom and glory you deserve; may you finally be freed from the biblically created chains

Woman, you are great beyond measure
You're creation's most valuable treasure
I hope when you read this, you'll be pleasures
And breath freely, with no heavy burden pressure
