You Were The One... Poem by Shannah Leigh

There we were, You And I.
As we lay there out of sight,
we lay there on a hot summer night.
Being with you felt so right,
as I smiled, for with you I feel the pride.
I have never felt so good inside.

There we lay watching the stars,
we listened to the sounds on that very good night.
As we sat there and cuddled,
you held me so tight,
That night I did not feel a single fright.
you were my knight in shining armour,
I thought you were the one,
We sat there and watched the sunset.
you were the greatest person,
that I had ever met.

As we lay there with the smell of the freshly cut grass,
it didn't smell like the city,
it didn't smell like trash.
As we lay there I could taste the love.
The love, god had send from above.
I wanted to stay there forever with you,
and never have to move.
because were are the one that I adore,
and baby I really do love you.
